We operate productive Kubernetes platforms for our customers in enterprise environments. Our goal is to provide modern cloud-native platforms that are secure, stable and automated - ​​​​from the hardware or IaaS layer up to day-to-day cluster container operations.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Kubernetes / OpenStack Engineer (m/f/d) who supports our platform team in operations, further development and automation.

• Platform Operations & Cluster Management

- Operation, maintenance and further development of multi-node clusters (like Proxmox or OpenStack)
- Management of nodes, updates, cluster upgrades and machine configurations
- Management of operators, CRDs, namespaces and multi-tenancy
- Management of networks (CNI, ingress, routing, DNS) and storage components
 

• Security & Compliance

- Implementation of security and governance concepts (RBAC, SCC/PSa, image security)
- Secrets, certificate and TLS management
- Patch and vulnerability management
- Audit logging and compliance controls
 

• Monitoring & Observability

- Setup, integration and operation of Prometheus, Loki, Thanos, Grafana
- Performance analysis, capacity planning and stability improvements
- Building meaningful dashboards and alerting rules
 

• Automation & CI/CD

- GitOps automation using Ansible
- Creation and maintenance of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm)
- Automation of recurring operational tasks
 

• Support & Troubleshooting

- Analysis and resolution of incidents on node, pod, network or storage level
- Close collaboration with specialist departments
- Handover, documentation and participation in change/incident processes

Technical
- At least 3 years of experience operating Linux systems (RHEL preferred)
- Solid experience with Kubernetes / OpenStack in enterprise environments
- Knowledge of OpenStack CLI and REST-APIs
- Experience with Ceph, NFS or other CSI-based storage technologies
- Know-how in GitOps, CI/CD and automation/orchestration (OpenStack Heat, Terraform OpenStack Provider)
- Knowledge in cluster architecture and object management (Pods, Deployments, Services), networking and ingress routing (ClusterIP, NodePort, LoadBalancer, Ingress), and observability and security (Prometheus, Grafana, and RBAC)
 
Nice to Have
- Experience in hardware, virtualization or cloud environments (VMware, Bare Metal)
- Experience with databases or middleware (PostgreSQL, Oracle, Jboss)
- Compliance operators / policy automation
- Security hardening / CIS benchmarks / STIG-like requirements
- Multi-cloud/hybrid skills (AWS/GCP/Azure)
