Technical Monitoring Operator (MN4DA) (w/m/d)

Permanent Employment, Experienced Position - Timișoara

Your mission
  • Responsibility for operating and owning the MN4DA Log Management service (Technical Service Owner)
  • Close collaboration with the existing monitoring team (MN4DCM)
  • Contributing to a shared team responsible for delivering both services coordinated
  • Service-oriented and operational leadership
  • Responsibility for the optimization and operation of open-source-based monitoring and observability solutions in sophisticated, modern IT infrastructures
  • Continuously assess and refine monitoring configurations to optimize system performance, reduce downtime, and improve visibility of infrastructure and application status
  • Customization of functions according to customer requirements
  • Configuration of status and performance measurements as well as customized dashboards, reports and alarms
  • Troubleshooting and performance optimization with server and application experts to solve problems and improve monitored IT systems
  • Processing of incoming emails and tickets in relation to incidents, changes and tasks
  • Participation in on-call duty outside office hours for prio 1&2 service incidents in the IT monitoring systems for which you are responsible
Your profile
  • Degree in computer science, information technology or a related field or comparable training with professional experience
  • Knowledge and practical experience with monitoring & observability solutions, as well as log management tools; ideally with open-source-based tools such as Nagios, Icinga, Checkmk, Prometheus, Kubernetes, Docker, Jupyter, PostgreSQL, Opensearch-Stack, Graylog, Django,React-SPA w. TypeScript, MapLibre for Map visualization, ECharts for diagrams/charts and TailwindCSS as Design System
  • Knowledge of customizing and extending dashboards, alert rules, reporting, and integrations
  • Linux Admin knowledge
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructures (cloud, on-premise, virtual machines, containers, microservices) and their monitoring + logging
  • Good knowledge of Standard ITIL processes and tools, ideally experienced Service Now user
  • High degree of independent and self-reliant work
  • English skills (written and oral); German skills appreciated
