Your tasks
- Monitor and ensure the smooth operation of the data center infrastructure
- Perform regular maintenance on servers
- Support for the installation, configuration and commissioning of servers
- Monitoring and maintenance of hardware components
- Support for the construction and cabling of racks and patch panels
- Documentation of changes to the infrastructure and maintenance of technical documentation
- Cooperation with internal specialist departments and external service providers to coordinate service assignments
- Monitoring and processing of faults as well as escalation according to defined processes
- Participation in projects to expand and optimize data center environments
- Project dismantling of data center locations
Your profile
- Successfully completed training in the field of IT, electrical engineering or comparable qualification
- Sound knowledge of data center operations, especially in server and network infrastructure
- Experience in handling hardware components, cabling, and rack mounting
- Safe handling of monitoring and ticket systems
- Basic knowledge of virtualization, operating systems (Windows/Linux) and network technology
- Structured and careful way of working as well as high reliability
- Ability to work in a team and good communication skills in dealing with internal and external partners
- Willingness to work in shifts or to participate in on-call duties
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
